Love it!

First of all, I want to thank you all for your sweet comments on my last post. I am so glad you enjoyed the pictures of my decorations, and hopefully you found a little inspiration!

As most you probably know Bath and Body Works was having a huge sale this weekend! I can testify to this, for sure! Their Wallflower refills were $5, they had a buy-3-get-3 special and their big candles were two for $20! My mom and I racked up (surprise, surprise).

So, from my outing on Friday, I found this week's item:

I am obsessed with Bath and Body Works "Winter" candle. Everything you love about the holidays is wrapped into this one little jar of heaven on earth. There's evergreen, spice, sugar, and a touch of something that I can't put my finger on, but it's fabulous! If you don't have this burning in your house you need to get it! I also got the plug-in for my kitchen :)

Have you tried this already? What did you think? What's your favorite B&BW candle scent?

Deck the halls...fa la la la la

Ok, how long has it been since I posted? Um......too long! This past week was so busy with family, Thankgiving, decorating and shopping. I will go ahead and confess that our shopping outing on Friday didn't yield a single Christmas gift for anyone....but ourselves...and I am not one bit embarrassed! That's how it always seems to go on our first trip out. I know my mom picked me up a few things when I wasn't looking, but other than that no one else got a dang thing! I hope you all had a very successful black Friday if you decided to venture out into the madness:)

I got off from work on Tuesday and had the rest of the week off. So, on Tuesday night I started decking out the townhouse for Christmas. I don't think I can explain to y'all how excited I am to have my first big-girl Christmas! Below are some pictures that I took this evening when I got back from my parents' house. Hope you enjoy!

The fireplace

Close-up of the mantle, I am SO proud of this!

I have holiday ribbon tied on all my lamps

My fabulous 12 ft Christmas tree! This picture does not do it justice! It still needs a few more ornaments, but, hey, it takes a lot to fill a tree that big!

I got these big snowflake ornaments at the Dollar Tree for, yes, you guessed it, $1!

I bought a pack of six ornaments at Wal-Mart (in this pretty green and red). Then I tied these bows and hot glued them on the top to add a little 'fancy.'

Tree topper

Pretty Christmas table setting. Simple but beautiful.

This is one of the first Christmas decorations that I purchased. I found this beautiful Norman Rockwell canvas at Tuesday Morning.

Little Christmas tree on my kitchen counter

I got this adorable garland at Home Goods for 8 bucks! The miniature clothes pins are to hang up your Christmas cards!

The tree in my office. Isn't this so fun? I decided to do bright ornaments on this tree. There are candies, fish, lollipops, funky-colored Christmas balls, and green glittered leaves as the tree topper!

Frosty greets you as you come in the door

Target for $10. This is hanging on the back of the front door

The front door, I am obsessed with cranberries, if you can't tell!

A shot of the front of my townhouse. I have one of those light-up snowmen down the hill at my mailbox, too!

Well, I hope y'all enjoyed the mini-tour of my home all decked out for the holidays. There are few other decorations that I didn't include in the post- there is too much!! I can't wait to see pictures of your homes decorated for Christmas, too!

Also, I got my hair chopped this weekend! It's the shortest it's ever been (well, besides when I was five and had a bob)! Don't fret, loves, it's not that short! I will post pictures this week =)

Happy Sunday, everyone!

"I'm going out tonight in my RED high heels"

Please cue the Kellie Pickler song immediately! "I'm about to show you just how missing me feels, in my red high heels..." Y'all know the song, right? Well, that is how I'm feeling right about now. I'm very excited about kicking off the holidays this week and fully intend on wearing some red shoes to venture out into the unknown on Black Friday, they will be pointy flats, though.

So, my question is, do you all love red shoes as much as I do??!

When I wear red shoes, of any kind, I notice a little kick in my step that wasn't there the day before in my boring black or brown options.

My friend Lauren can be thanked once again for inspiring this item of the week. She's so good at this, why doesn't she start her own blog??! Anyway, we were chatting last night and she told me that she got some new red boots (which are featured below) and she had worn them to church. She proceeded to tell me how sassy she felt when sporting red shoes. And so, this week's item was born!

Why did I not think of this one before?!

Warning: The images below may cause sudden impulses to spend money. They may also cause heart palpitations, sweating, and drooling.

You have been warned, ladies.

Are these not the best photos ever?? (Sigh) And I will leave you with this.....

Until tomorrow, lovelies!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the week! Thank goodness today ended up better than yesterday! Everything went so smoothly today. God just said, "Ok, no more testing you, you've proven that you can handle it." Thank goodness he did because I was just about at my breaking point.

Anyway, enough about that, let's talk about some fun stuff! Christmas, maybe?? I'm thinking we're all getting in that spirit from the looks of yall's blogs. I know what some of you are thinking right now. "What happened to Thanksgiving?" Little 'ole Thanksgiving just seems to be forgotten, agree? But for some reason I just lump turkey day right in there with Christmas. Thanksgiving is when I really REALLY start getting in the holiday spirit. Ok, I give, maybe I'm already REALLY in the holiday spirit, but Thanksgiving is like the starting line, and when the meal has been eaten it's like "ready, set, go, Christmas!" So, today I wanted to talk about some of the things that really get me excited about the holidays.

I went back to B&BW today (remember they were sold out on Saturday) and stocked up on some of my favorite holiday scents!

I'm pretty sure I could watch this movie in the middle of July and get excited about Christmas! The leg lamp, the bunny suit, the 'triple-dog-dare,' the Red Rider BB gun, well I could go on and on. I love this movie!

My family has watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade for years! I look forward to this every Thanksgiving. And the Rockettes can put anyone in the holiday mood!

I started listening to Christmas music a couple weeks ago (don't judge, you know you did, too). Kenny Chesney's Christmas album is one of my favorites! "All I want for Christmas is real good tan...."

When our house (well, this year my house too!) is full of the scent of yummy cookies and desserts I know it's the holidays! My mom and I are constantly baking during Christmas.

Cute Christmas shirts always put a smile on my face! I picked up this fabulous Liz Claiborne (desgined by Isaac Mizrahi) shirt today. Isn't this so cute?!

Are you excited about Christmas now?? Oh, I can't wait to start decorating next week. I have picked up so many great things for my first big girl Christmas!! And there will certainly be pictures to document!

So, what puts you in the holiday spirit?
