Weekend Entertaining

Always set a beautiful centerpiece- a mixture of candles and flowers works well. Mix your colors and patterns to create a colorful, interesting palette.

Even the simplest of details packs a big punch.

Bow-shaped napkins adorned with pearls? Positively perfect.

Add fun conversation pieces to keep the atmosphere lighthearted and happy.

Fall Fashion, No. 2 (The Cape)

(Images via 1, 2)

The cape. A fresh take on outerwear that makes my heart skip a beat. I've already added it to my Christmas wish list, but I'm thinking the wait may be just too much for me! I have a shorter version that looks great with my long, black leather gloves. However, these longer options below are just what I need for everyday winter wear- especially the Rachel Zoe with the collar and buttons, swoon!

Today is the final day of my fashion week recap, and I'm sharing my favorite sites and blogs to follow. The links below are my go-to source (along with WWD, Fashionista, and Style) for all things fashion week. These ladies are either right in the middle of all the excitement documenting their experience or keeping a close eye on all the shows and posting about them for their readers. Trust me, during fashion week (and all other weeks of the year, actually!) you want to be following these lovely ladies!

NYFW Street Style Favorites

(Images via 1, 2)

***

Happy Thursday, loves!

Today for my NYFW recap I'm featuring some of my favorite street style images that I saw popping up around the web last week. I love seeing the street fashion nearly as much as the runway fashion, and I know many of my readers feel the same. Real women creating real outfits is so inspirational and exciting. Two of my favorite bloggers (and glitter girls!), Taylor (picture 3) and Caitlin (picture 5), were featured on various sites last week for their impeccable style during fashion week- I couldn't agree more!

Oh, Oscar

(All images via the incredibly talented Jamie Beck)

Hi, everyone! It's day two of my fashion week recap, and I couldn't be more excited about sharing these beautiful photos with you! I've gushed about photographer Jamie Beck many times before, but her work truly is amazing. She documented fashion week from behind the lens of  her camera, giving her readers a behind-the-scenes look at all the details that come together to create the stunning shows we love.

The images above are from her evening spent at the Oscar de la Renta show. I love the movement that she captured and the shine of the jewel tone skirts. Oscar, in my opinion, can do no wrong and with Jamie taking the photographs it only makes it that much more magical.

NYFW at a Glance

Fashion week came to a close last week, and I'm sure most of you were following along the whole time just like me! This week I'm featuring some of my favorite moments/shows/styles from NYFW. While each designer definitely had their own point of view, there were a few common threads running through all the shows. I'm especially excited about the prints and pastels that seem to be the trend for spring.

Below are a few of my favorite collections at a glance. . .
