Lilly 5x5 Prints

I am loving the new prints coming out of the Lilly Pulitzer print studio! Their 5x5 series is aimed at combining things that the Lilly print designers are personally passionate about with the obsession Lilly lovers have for their beautiful, artistic creations. They share new prints five days a week, around 5 o'clock - 5x5. I think it's a great concept that gives us a better glimpse into the inspirations behind the Lilly Pulitzer brand - which if you've been reading this blog any length of time, you know I'm a big Lilly lover. You can view the pieces across their social media outlets, specifically the 5x5 pinboard.

(Just a little sunshine for this dreary, rainy Tuesday afternoon!)

Palm Springs Pretty

(Images: Glitter Guide ft. Jaimi Brooks of Fiore Beauty)

These photos of Jaimi Brooks popped up on Glitter Guide's Style at Home series a while back and I was immediately smitten. I love Jaimi's easy, glam aesthetic and special touches. Anyone who groups vases of bright yellow tulips and has a blow-up swan has to be pretty awesome, right?

Jaimi is the founder of Fiore Beauty and with one click over to her company site you'll understand where her home style comes from. The natural elements (oversized turtle shell) and glitzy details (sparkly rug and pillows) pair perfectly to create this Palm Springs abode. Not to mention, I'm just as obsessed with the outdoor space as the indoor. Swoon.

Currently Crushing: Ted Baker Bows

I've grown quite smitten with these lovely bow-adorned pieces from Ted Baker London - especially the ones featuring a little hint of glitter. I'm such a sucker for anything that can be used to organize my life and the bags below would be perfect (tucked inside the larger tote, of course!). Also, an iPad is on my birthday wish list this month (yes, waaaay behind the times) and I'm already shopping around for the perfect sleeve/case to make it stylish. This one could be the winner. Thoughts? Are y'all loving these girly pieces as much as me?

Friday's Fancies: Pretty in Plaid

I've been a longtime lover of the classic plaid, but after seeing the images above of Miss Blair, my obsession went to a whole new level! How gorgeous is the combination of that feminine tulle skirt with the structure and deep hue of the plaid button down?! You can also find the ultimate paring of plaid and pretty right here that I featured last year (trust me, it's worth a click). Below is my recreation of this amazing combo.

Friday's Fancies: Pretty in Plaid

Merry & Bright

(Images: Kate Spade on GILT)

This is exactly what I want my Christmas outfit to look like! Kate Spade never fails to bring the color - no matter the occasion or holiday. I saved these images from their GILT sale last week and couldn't wait to share some of them (more of them to come in a future post!). I love the idea of forgetting about the season and pairing a sleeveless dress with dark tights. And I'm definitely a fan of the red lips and nails!

What is your holiday style - Colorful? Glitzy? Traditional? I would love to hear how you're dressing up for the holiday!

What's In My Bag?

(Custom print by Kristina Hultkrantz)

I don't think I've ever been this excited about a collaboration! I've spoken about and featured artist Kristina Hultkrantz many times before on the blog (see the posts here), but today's feature is incredibly special. You may be familiar with her celebrity and style icon "what's in my bag" illustrations from her monthly feature in Matchbook Magazine. Little did I know, she would contact me to create a custom print, bringing to life the contents of my bag! (Insert squeal here.)

It was an awesome process seeing the print come together! Kristina asked me to send over my dream bag and up to ten small accessories. The image above is what developed when Kristina interpreted my list. And, let me say, it's perfection.

Kristina is one of my favorite creative ladies who I've discovered through blogging. I can't sing her praises enough! If you're interested in commissioning your very own WIMB piece visit this link in her shop. And while you're there browse her other unique and stylish prints - you're sure to find something you can't live without!

Keep up with Kristina:

 (Images: Plum Pretty Sugar Flickr)

I have long been a fan of Plum Pretty Sugar. They truly have the most beautiful lounge and sleep wear. Their pieces have become especially popular amongst brides-to-be and their bridal parties, snapping photos in the beautifully printed pieces while getting ready for the big day. And nothing could be more perfect for those special moments than the Lil' Getting Ready Dress. Featured above in the most girly prints imaginable, I want one of these just to get ready every day!

Currently Crushing: Kate Spade Jewel Print

When I was a kid I loved playing with kaleidoscopes. The twinkly, sparkly colors were just what every girly girl was looking for in a $2 toy. Therefore, it's no surprise that I fell in love with Kate Spade's print of the month! They're calling it the "king's jewels" print and comparing it to a "myriad of tiny kaleidoscopes." While the skirt above is a little out of my price range, I'm planning to keep an eye on the smaller pieces and accessories. However, for no money at all, you can download this gorgeous print onto all your devices right now.

Do you love this print? How does it compare in your book to the Oscar de la Renta jewel print?

Sunday in Paris

How breathtaking are these images from Nicole Warne's recent Paris adventure?! She noted in her post that this is one of those shoots that you "wait your whole life to do." Sure, every girl dreams of striking poses in a red dress, holding pastel balloons in front of the Eiffel Tower - all while towering over everyone in Charlotte Olympia heels.

Just a little Sunday eye candy while we all wait out this storm :)

Weekend Wishes: Homecoming Celebrations!

It's homecoming weekend at my alma mater, and everyone is in town for the festivities. This is truly one of my favorite weekends of the year, as I start prepping way too far in advance. A couple weeks before, my girlfriends and I start questioning each other, "What are you wearing to homecoming?" Deciding on our outfits is just as much a part of the tradition as the tailgating and football game. While this isn't my exact outfit for tomorrow, there will be a chambray blouse and York Design cuff :)

Wishing you all a very happy weekend!

5 LBDs Under $50

I am (and have always been) a sucker for a little black dress (LBD, if you prefer). I'm also a sucker for a good deal and have quickly become quite a fan of Dorothy Perkins and her fabulously affordable pieces. Each of the dresses featured in the lookbook above are under $50 (well, one is just shy but too good not to include!) and perfect for upcoming holiday parties, winter weddings, or a fancy date night - just add some sparkle. I also have a fun LBD coming tomorrow that I styled for a Halloween costume twist!

Which of these is your favorite?

Sparkle & Shine

(Images: 1, 2, 3 // 4, 5, 6 // 7, 8, 9)

As the weekend inches closer, why not enjoy a little glitzy eye candy?! I tend to bring out my favorite sparkles on the weekend, but I'm starting to think they're not getting enough love. Weekday sparkles can be just as fabulous and maybe even more fun! Here's to a very sparkly Thursday!

What are some ways you add sparkle to your week?

Have you ever seen more beautiful packaging? I am in love with Aerin Lauder's new line of beauty products. Incredibly feminine and soft, perfectly muted tones for both weekdays and casual weekends. I can picture these beautiful pieces arranged on a vanity tray for an extra sweet display in a bathroom or dressing room. Visit Aerin's site to browse the collection above and also take a peek inside Aerin's very chic world. Oh la la.

Balloons Aren't Just for Parties

(Images: The Everygirl)

If you haven't seen The Everygirl feature of Jihan Zencirli of Geronimo Balloons get yourself over there immediately. I scrolled through the images above and more several times and somehow manage to love them more and more every time. I discovered the incredible balloon company shortly after it was established in 2011, and I still get giddy as a little girl when I see the amazing pieces they create. Color, fringe, sparkle - if anyone would like to send me one for my birthday (or just because) I would be most grateful ;)
