Hello, lovely readers of Julie Leah! I'm Elizabeth over at The Corner Apartment and was so delighted when Julie asked me to do a guest post- I'm still a little new to the blogging world and she has been so sweet to include me to contribute while she is lounging away on the beach. I have to say, I'm a little jealous! I'd love to trade the dry Texas heat for a few lazy days on a beach towel with a good read.
She always talks about what sweet readers she has, so I'm very excited to share my weekly "For the Love Of" feature over here this week. Here you are!
I'll admit that I'm always initially apprehensive about trying off-the-wall trends. Especially when I'm reading the newest Vogue that reports on the flamboyant spectacles from various runway shows (which I do love, by the way, but absolutely cannot translate into everyday style).
Rainbow hues of denim arrived a few seasons ago, and not long after came their patterned sibling: the printed jean.
I told myself with a resounding 'no' that they weren't for me, and I've fully believed that sentiment until not too long ago. I usually stick to my multitude of different-wash jeans or Cafe Capris from J Crew for a more structured look.
Unsurprisingly (to me at least- it always happens), I've come around. How could I not, with such wearable inspiration from my favorite fashion bloggers Blair (Atlantic-Pacific), Rachel (The Pink Peonies), and Wendy (Wendy's Lookbook)?
It turns out you can rock the print without being the hippest hipster on the block.
