Happy Monday, everyone!

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, there are some changes happening here on the blog that I'm very excited about! I thought today was the perfect time to share a few details (it is Monday, after all!).

The first change is the introduction of new post series. I love consistency, and after researching and reflecting on some of my favorite blogs, I realized consistency is one thing that each of them does very well. Whether it be themed posts each week (Luella & June's 'What I Love Right Now') or a certain day dedicated to a specific type of post (Cupcakes & Cashmere's 'Five Things' on Friday), consistency is key for me.

After my short blogging hiatus, I realized how much I truly love what I create here, and how much it has helped me through some very difficult times. It wasn't an option to give it up, only to make it better.

The new series will include:

Currently Crushing - A collection of things or single items that I'm currently loving. (Every Wednesday)
Friday Favorites - A round-up of my favorite posts/articles/images from around the web for that given week. (Every Friday)

I will continue to do Quoted posts whenever the inspiration strikes.

You may also start seeing multiple posts per day. That will depend on my schedule for the week and quality content, but it's definitely a possibility.

Moschino Cheap & Chic, Fall 2012

It had me at pink and green. Throw in sequins, puffy furs, make-up prints, and lovely headbands and you've got a collection that speaks to every girly-girl. Moschino's Cheap and Chic fall 2012 collection is a combination of 60s glam (the hairstyles and pink lips) and modern unexpected touches (quirky prints and multi-colored furs). I truly love everything about these pieces, maybe as much as (gasp!) the Oscar de la Renta collection!

Pastels popped up on runway after runway back in the fall, which had us all wishing and hoping for warmer days. Spring fashions are finally starting to hit stores, and it's becoming somewhat acceptable to pull our favorite powdery pink sweaters out of our closets. I'm longing for styles much like the Gatsby-inspired ensembles from Ralph Lauren's collection. Channel your inner Daisy Buchanan, girls, and put those pastels to work sooner rather than later!

Thank you for another wonderful week on the blog!

I'm excited about several things that are coming up on Brown Eyed Belle. After watching the live-stream of the IFB conference last week (particularly the panel that discussed improving your blog), I've been thinking about ways to make this blog even better. Oscar de la Renta, Fall 2012

He did it again. 

Pretty pastels, sparkling details on dresses and shoes, dainty prints, luxurious candy-colored furs, rich textures- all topped off with jewel-adorned headbands and fishnets.

Oscar de la Renta, for me, is the end-all, be-all of fashion week. The fall 2012 ready-to-wear collection is absolutely no exception. Women's Wear Daily said it best:

"No girly cliche went unchecked...apparently Oscar's delightful bubble doesn't burst."

Two days of fashion week excitement have yielded some incredible images from some of my favorites to follow. Instagram, no surprise, has served as a key medium through which photographers and brands are documenting all the events. I love having the ability to feel like I'm there, being toted around from place to place- it's the next best thing to capturing the images myself.

Emily and Estée Lauder.

The incredibly inspring Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere has now added another dynamite collaboration to her resumé (others include her girly pink Coach bag design). She has teamed up with cosmetics company Estée Lauder as a guest blogger, and I'm convinced they couldn't have picked a better lady for the job! She'll be contriubting beauty tips, wedding make-up details, and sharing videos shot exclusively for the collaboration. The first post went live yesterday and you can read the 'meet Emily' introduction here. Watch this video to gain a better understanding of just how charming she really is!

NYFW (Fall 2012)

Fashion week is officially underway, and I'm simply giddy to see what's in store for fall. It seems this week rolls around so quickly, we hardly have time to blink and we're already discussing furs in the middle of spring or pastels in the middle of winter. Fashion keeps us on our toes, to say the least, and I'm certain there will be breathtaking collections from veterans and surprisingly aspirational shows from fashion's rising stars over the next week.
